The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Las Brujitas de Verón's Jesus Fernado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Cordarius in the 5th minute of play. After 7 minutes of play, Cubanea AFC's Oscar Cordarius made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jesus Fernado was left in no man's land by his defense there! 10 minutes into the game, Oscar Cordarius cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Jesus Fernado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cubanea AFC's Melquiades Montez got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 18 minutes into the game, Gregorio Naldo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cubanea AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Las Brujitas de Verón the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Cubanea AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Las Brujitas de Verón:s goal. The referee gave Las Brujitas de Verón a penalty, 20 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Everardo Otsoa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cubanea AFC's Hugo Gonsalvo. 1-2. Cubanea AFC's Hugo Gonsalvo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Everardo Otsoa in the 23rd minute of play. In the 26th minute Everardo Otsoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Gonsalvo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matias Guillen in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hugo Gonsalvo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Hugo Gonsalvo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Everardo Otsoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Cordarius in the 35th minute of play forced Las Brujitas de Verón's goalkeeper Jesus Fernado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Maxin succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 38th playminute. Las Brujitas de Verón's Luisito Platon got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Cubanea AFC's Hugo Gonsalvo got control of the ball when Luisito Platon tried to sneak it across the goal line. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Everardo Otsoa made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Cubanea AFC's Zacarias Bieito got a free kick in the 54th minute. Melquiades Montez's late challenge caught a Las Brujitas de Verón's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Melquiades Montez helped the player get up and apologised. After 58 minutes of play Cubanea AFC's Melquiades Montez was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Las Brujitas de Verón booed when Cubanea AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melquiades Montez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jesus Fernado came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Cubanea AFC's Remigio Brun. But to his dismay, Remigio Brun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. In the 67th minute, Remigio Brun fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Jesus Fernado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Remigio Brun in the 70th minute. Nemesio Dunixi kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Las Brujitas de Verón's Luisito Platon got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Remigio Brun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Jesus Fernado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Faustino Nuno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the match, Cubanea AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Everardo Otsoa came free, but Hugo Gonsalvo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle went the supporters of Cubanea AFC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Las Brujitas de Verón side.
