Spectators: 6663 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) Edgardo Cai started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Palben during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 3 played minutes Tacuarendí got a freekick which was hit by Felix Palben. Niceto Breogan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elvio Incendio in the 13th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Pico Fútbol Club's zone, Felix Palben stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niceto Breogan came out of the goal and Felix Palben tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Niceto Breogan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Cai in the 15th minute of play. Dante Koldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godofredo Seguinus, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 25thth minute of the game Edgardo Cai who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pico Fútbol Club's Niceto Breogan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tacuarendí's Dante Koldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Frasco in the 26th minute of play. When Felix Palben was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 27 minutes had been played. Pascual Santiago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgardo Cai blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Niceto Breogan having to make a save. 41 minutes into the match, Elvio Incendio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Niceto Breogan. Pico Fútbol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elvio Incendio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Elvio Incendio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Pico Fútbol Club booed when Tacuarendí was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prudencio Urtsua didn't get a good kick on the ball. 52 minutes into the match, Tacuarendí's goal looked a bit too open when Pascual Santiago came free, but Dante Koldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elvio Incendio struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Niceto Breogan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tacuarendí. After a rather tough play, Tacuarendí's Edgardo Cai got a free kick in the 58th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Pico Fútbol Club's Nicasio Ignazio tried to score from far away in the 59th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Edgardo Cai fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tacuarendí's protests and gave Edgardo Cai a yellow card for diving instead. After 63 played minutes Tacuarendí got a freekick which was hit by Edgardo Cai. Pico Fútbol Club's Nicasio Ignazio got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Godofredo Seguinus in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Koldo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dante Koldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascual Santiago in the 71st minute of play. Dante Koldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Frasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Elvio Incendio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Niceto Breogan having to make a save. 79 minutes into the match, Pico Fútbol Club's Pascual Santiago sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Koldo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Marco Frasco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Koldo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Tacuarendí's Elvio Incendio got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tacuarendí were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
