In the 3rd minute, Gabriel Regis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pastor Soin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Lauro having to interfere. Ildefonso Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiburcio Cloyo having to interfere. In the 13th minute Pastor Soin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximiliano Lauro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ildefonso Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiburcio Cloyo having to interfere. After having played for 17 minutes, Cipriano Tono managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santa Rosa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cipriano Tono was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Santa Rosa booed when Caspalá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benicio Harri didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Santa Rosa's Jorge Onbera broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Caspalá's Tiburcio Cloyo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Caspalá from getting a goal against them. After 25 minutes, Benicio Harri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caspalá and the Santa Rosa players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th minute, Benicio Harri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the game, Pastor Soin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Maximiliano Lauro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Caspalá:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Santa Rosa:s goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ildefonso Valente to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Caspalá's zone, Ildefonso Valente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiburcio Cloyo came out of the goal and Ildefonso Valente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th minute, Cipriano Tono got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Saul Ignatius who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Maximiliano Lauro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Saul Ignatius came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Caspalá fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saul Ignatius couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Caspalá's zone, Cipriano Tono stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiburcio Cloyo came out of the goal and Cipriano Tono tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ildefonso Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute Ildefonso Valente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiburcio Cloyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Cipriano Tono managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santa Rosa's supporters rose to their feet, but Cipriano Tono was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiburcio Cloyo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Cipriano Tono had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
