The referee ignored Desamparado de San Juan's protests and gave Gervasio Lauren a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Santa Rosa booed when Desamparado de San Juan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gervasio Lauren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maximiliano Lauro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Simon Cedro in the 14th minute. After having played for 24 minutes, Abel Lohitzun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ildefonso Valente ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 96th match minute, Desamparado de San Juan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benigno Corderro to maneuver through the defense. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
