The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonardo Blanco got free with Dante Koldo in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eusebio Frans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elvio Incendio, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 38th minute, Edgardo Cai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46th minute, Eustacio Quirze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Camilo Harkaitz made the kick off in the second half. If Edgardo Cai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute, Edgardo Cai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dante Koldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Modesto Gregory, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 64th match minute, Tacuarendí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prudencio Urtsua to maneuver through the defense. Tacuarendí's Dante Koldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Blanco in the 67th minute of play. But to his dismay, Leonardo Blanco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Eusebio Frans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Cai in the 80th minute of the match. Elvio Incendios short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Eusebio Frans to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 83 played minutes Almafuerte FC got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Quirze. With his leg Eusebio Frans managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when Tacuarendí's Elvio Incendio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 86th minute, Edgardo Cai fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Eusebio Frans, passed just outside the right post. If Leonardo Blanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Almafuerte FC booed when Tacuarendí was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Berart didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Almafuerte FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
