If Gilberto Remicio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cipriano Tono came free with the goalkeeper in the 16th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lucas Hunfredo could save by the left post. Cipriano Tono sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucas Hunfredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ildefonso Valente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cipriano Tono fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Hunfredo having to interfere. If Ildefonso Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ildefonso Valente could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Lucas Hunfredo made a huge save. Lucas Hunfredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ildefonso Valente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cipriano Tono received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Lucas Hunfredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, J.P.S.'s Efrain Chinto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maximiliano Lauro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Julio Moise made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Julio Moise shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximiliano Lauro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th match minute, J.P.S. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julio Moise to maneuver through the defense. Gilberto Remicio charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilberto Remicio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 65 minutes into the match, J.P.S.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Tono came free, but Lucas Hunfredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Roberto Fonda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucas Hunfredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ildefonso Valente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucas Hunfredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ildefonso Valente in the 75th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in J.P.S.'s zone, Gabriel Regis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucas Hunfredo came out of the goal and Gabriel Regis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Efrain Chinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Maximiliano Lauro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ildefonso Valente in the 87th minute of play forced J.P.S.'s goalkeeper Lucas Hunfredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute of the match Santa Rosa got a corner. J.P.S.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jorge Onbera ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Jorge Onbera almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but J.P.S.'s Lucas Hunfredo did a great save. After 94 played minutes Santa Rosa got a freekick which was hit by Octavio Oro.
