Club Atletico El Linqueño's Cezmi Tüzel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Muno in the 24th minute of play. Gogo James hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Cezmi Tüzel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernan Astudillo in the 31st minute of the match. The supporters of Club Atletico El Linqueño booed when Talleres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Palben didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabian Haimar got free with Mauricio Tiadoro in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

Mauricio Tiadoro came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atletico El Linqueño's Matias Izotz. But to his dismay, Matias Izotz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 57th minute, Anastasio Rodriguez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute Lorenzo Peru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cezmi Tüzel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute Evaristo Erauso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Tiadoro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 76 minutes, Matias Izotz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico El Linqueño's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matias Izotz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Club Atletico El Linqueño's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
