But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Haimar couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute of the match Rafael Celio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Efrain Berdoi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Efrain Berdoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matias Izotz's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Nacimiento's zone, Fabian Haimar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Efrain Berdoi came out of the goal and Fabian Haimar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matias Izotz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clodoveo Txema received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Efrain Berdoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Clodoveo Txema had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maximino Quintin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nacimiento's Efrain Berdoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Haimar in the 54th minute of play. Efrain Berdoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prudencio Walme, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 63rd minute, Matias Izotz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Efrain Berdoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0.
