Melquiades Matthew tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruno Muno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adrian Erdiano charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adrian Erdiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.

Aguirre FC's Melquiades Matthew played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Muno in the 53rd minute of play. If Norberto Rocio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 60 minutes of play, Aguirre FC's Norberto Rocio made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mauricio Tiadoro was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Norberto Rocio came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Aguirre FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norberto Rocio couldn't finish the play. Aguirre FC's Melquiades Matthew played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Muno in the 78th minute of play. Talleres's Bruno Muno got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Aguirre FC's zone, Bruno Muno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melquiades Matthew came out of the goal and Bruno Muno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lorenzo Peru struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Melquiades Matthew didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Talleres. Aguirre FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Lorenzo Peru scored to the left of an out of position Melquiades Matthew, making the score, 1-3. If Fernan Astudillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Talleres could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Aguirre FC throughout the match.
