Miñones's Artemio Benitez got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Erasmo Ovando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximino Argider, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. With a little luck, Fuego FC's Horacio Bartoleme got control of the ball when Artemio Benitez tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victor Cebrian during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Artemio Benitez got free with Horacio Bartoleme in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcelino Ermano to make the kick off. Horacio Bartoleme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelino Ermano in the 60th minute of the match. If Maximino Argider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Mancio hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the match, Fuego FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelino Ermano came free, but Horacio Bartoleme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 87 played minutes Miñones got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Osoro. Miñones's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
