Eleuterio Jax breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santiago Santikurtz in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eleuterio Jax prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sportivo Vittorio's Fernando Osoitz got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santiago Santikurtz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Osoitz got free with Eleuterio Jax in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Santiago Santikurtz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute, Santo Lain hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernando Osoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Eleuterio Jax tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Liebig getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Camilo Abar hit a great ball. Sportivo Vittorio's Fernando Osoitz got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 34 minutes into the match, Sportivo Vittorio's goal looked a bit too open when Feliberto Fe came free, but Miguel Johans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eleuterio Jax was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and Santiago Santikurtz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Santiago Santikurtz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After a rather tough play, Liebig's Eleuterio Firme got a free kick in the 45th minute. Julio Calvet, 46 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The Liebig supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Liebig would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
