With a little luck, Club Atletico Los Andes's Silvestre Veremundo got control of the ball when Arturo Furman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Silvestre Veremundo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavino Millano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Atletico Los Andes's Silvestre Veremundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavino Millano in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Arturo Furman reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Silvestre Veremundo. The goal made the score 1-0. The audience was convinced that Americo Ciano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cornelio Alvarez was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. The supporters of Club Atletico Los Andes booed when Chañaritos AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Club Atletico Los Andes's Augusto Haritzeder got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Americo Ciano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Cornelio Alvarez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gavino Millano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Chañaritos AFC's Gavino Millano in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chañaritos AFC's goalkeeper Cornelio Alvarez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Americo Ciano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Cornelio Alvarez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th match minute, Chañaritos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Lauaxeta to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the match, Chañaritos AFC's goalkeeper Cornelio Alvarez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Haritzeder. After having played for 87 minutes, Arturo Furman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chañaritos AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Furman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Arnoldo Sein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cornelio Alvarez made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Americo Ciano sent off a good shot on target. Silvestre Veremundo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavino Millano in the 96th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
