Napoli's Alto Obeso made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silvestre Maju was left in no man's land by his defense there! Silvestre Maju made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Bartuelo in the 12th minute of play. Alto Obeso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Silvestre Maju tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Diego Bartuelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.S.C. Napoli's supporters rose to their feet, but Diego Bartuelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvestre Maju breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Bath Peach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, Resistencia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bath Peach came free, but Silvestre Maju reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diego Bartuelo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Gregorio Oliviero in the 25th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by S.S.C. Napoli's Edson Barbosa. 27 minutes into the match, Resistencia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alto Obeso came free, but Silvestre Maju reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Siro Flor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ezequiel Francesco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvestre Maju showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alto Obeso in the 37th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the game, Tadeo Raymond was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ezequiel Francesco made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Bartuelo got free with Silvestre Maju in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alto Obeso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Silvestre Maju tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 74 minutes, Gregorio Oliviero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Resistencia FC and the S.S.C. Napoli players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of S.S.C. Napoli booed when Resistencia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregorio Oliviero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gregorio Oliviero hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. During the 81st minute of the match Tadeo Raymond completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. Gabriel-Omar Funes Mori could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Silvestre Maju made a huge save. Adolfo Mendiko kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. With a little luck, Resistencia FC's Silvestre Maju got control of the ball when Bath Peach tried to sneak it across the goal line. The nice shot from Gabriel-Omar Funes Mori in the 97thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Silvestre Maju had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. When the final whistle sounded S.S.C. Napoli left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Resistencia FC.
