Awados's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Cornelio Alvarez made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Edgard Eutropio sent off a good shot on target. During the 20th minute of the match Humberto Lauaxeta completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Humberto Lauaxeta a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Awados's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciriaco Celio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornelio Alvarez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgard Eutropio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Cornelio Alvarez made a huge save. Cornelio Alvarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciriaco Celio, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. If Ciriaco Celio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ciriaco Celio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bartolo Maurin was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 71st minute. Arturo Furman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Diego Urdin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciriaco Celio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cornelio Alvarez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Ciriaco Celio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornelio Alvarez having to interfere. Ciriaco Celio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Awados's Diego Urdin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Awados from getting a goal against them. When Edgard Eutropio came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Awados fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgard Eutropio couldn't finish the play. Awados were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
