Spectators: 7207 (Terracing: 5407, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Augusto Haritzeder started the match with the kick off. Americo Ciano might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silvestre Maju. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Americo Ciano ran back to his position shaking his head. Americo Ciano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Maju having to interfere. Siro Flor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Silvestre Veremundo made a huge save. When Adrian Tolino fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atletico Los Andes's protests and gave Adrian Tolino a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Club Atletico Los Andes getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Adrian Tolino hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Americo Ciano in the 19th minute of play forced Resistencia FC's goalkeeper Silvestre Maju to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Americo Ciano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silvestre Maju took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Haritzeder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvestre Veremundo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Francesco in the 33rd minute of play. If Augusto Haritzeder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Silvestre Maju showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Americo Ciano in the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th minute Ezequiel Francesco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvestre Veremundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Los Andes's goal looked a bit too open when Ezequiel Francesco came free, but Silvestre Veremundo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvestre Veremundo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Siro Flor in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 51st minute of the match Alvaro Franco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvestre Maju skillfully saved the ball. Siro Flor struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Silvestre Veremundo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Resistencia FC. If Siro Flor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Resistencia FC's Siro Flor in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atletico Los Andes's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augusto Haritzeder in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvestre Maju saved Resistencia FC from getting behind. After 80 minutes, Ezequiel Francesco made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Club Atletico Los Andes's Silvestre Veremundo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Silvestre Maju made an important save on a dangerous shot by Americo Ciano in the 83rd minute. The supporters of Resistencia FC booed when Club Atletico Los Andes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Bautista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Atletico Los Andes's Silvestre Veremundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siro Flor in the 88th minute of play. Silvestre Maju made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Americo Ciano sent off a good shot on target. If Americo Ciano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Atletico Los Andes's Silvestre Veremundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siro Flor in the 95th minute of play. After having played for 96 minutes, Ezequiel Francesco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Resistencia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ezequiel Francesco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Resistencia FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
