The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Licor FC. Victorio Gentza walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 14th minute Fabio Inautzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonel Benino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Florentino Indartsu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emanuel Chepe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luis Eladio in the 17th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Fabio Inautzi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonel Benino. Licor FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabio Inautzi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 27 minutes into the match, Licor FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lisandro Chale came free, but Leonel Benino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 29 played minutes Mercedes got a freekick which was hit by Nereo Urko. Emanuel Chepe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florentino Indartsu in the 35th minute of play. The supporters of Licor FC booed when Mercedes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorio Gentza didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute, Florentino Indartsu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Artemio Montez struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Leonel Benino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mercedes.

After 55 minutes, Lisandro Chale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mercedes and the Licor FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leonel Benino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Chale in the 57th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Florentino Indartsu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 83rd minute Luis Eladio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Chepe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabio Inautzi charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Licor FC's much stronger midfield.
