Spectators: 7003 (Terracing: 5388, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 115) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ramon Endura took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon Endura in the 3rd minute of play forced Santos de Lucas's goalkeeper Iker Boniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Higinio Firman got free with Iker Boniel in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 10 played minutes Santos de Lucas got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Theobald. 12 minutes into the match, Santos de Lucas's goalkeeper Iker Boniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Higinio Firman. Higinio Firman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Iker Boniel made a huge save. The attack was good, but when Ramon Endura in the 14th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Higinio Firman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claudio Theobald's late challenge caught a Recreo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claudio Theobald helped the player get up and apologised. After 22 played minutes Santos de Lucas got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Theobald. If Ramon Endura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 29 minutes into the match, Santos de Lucas's Teo Iratxo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Iker Boniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramon Endura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute, Amado Lauro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute, Santos de Lucas's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Higinio Firman fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Santos de Lucas's goalkeeper Iker Boniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amado Lauro in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eulalio Nabar saved Recreo from getting behind. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amado Lauro made a kick off. Abel Gonsalvo kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. When Ramon Endura came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Recreo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramon Endura couldn't finish the play. Claudio Theobald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Eulalio Nabar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eulalio Nabar was a little too slow when Teodosio Maiorga got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 0-1. Ciro Orland kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. When Ramon Endura came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Recreo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramon Endura couldn't finish the play. Iker Boniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramon Endura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Abel Gonsalvo fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santos de Lucas's protests and gave Abel Gonsalvo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Recreo booed when Santos de Lucas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Gonsalvo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ramon Endura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramon Endura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Higinio Firman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute, Abel Gonsalvo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iker Boniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramon Endura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iker Boniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remigio Rosio, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After 83 played minutes Santos de Lucas got a freekick which was hit by Simon Chap. Ciriaco Tabby charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ciriaco Tabby the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Santos de Lucas's goalie and right to Higinio Firman. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Santos de Lucas's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After a defensive mix-up in Santos de Lucas's zone, Ramon Endura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iker Boniel came out of the goal and Ramon Endura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ramon Endura took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iker Boniel. Iker Boniel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
