Genaro Aguirres short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Halis Bengialp to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 10 minutes into the match, TOMBA FC's Genaro Aguirre sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Halis Bengialp narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 12th match minute, TOMBA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario Juvenal to maneuver through the defense. When Morán Borines fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lavalle FC's protests and gave Morán Borines a yellow card for diving instead. Morán Borines hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genaro Aguirre in the 18th minute of play forced Lavalle FC's goalkeeper Halis Bengialp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. TOMBA FC's Godofredo Veremundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Neto in the 22nd minute of play. After having played for 26 minutes, Gaston Toribio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TOMBA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaston Toribio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Godofredo Veremundo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Neto in the 35th minute of play. Fabian Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Godofredo Veremundo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. German Lorenz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godofredo Veremundo having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabian Neto was the one to do the kick off. Halis Bengialp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ildefonso Cordareo, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. If Niceto Hechter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. German Lorenz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabian Neto in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Godofredo Veremundo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. German Lorenz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gaston Toribio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Halis Bengialp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Fabian Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Fabian Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godofredo Veremundo having to interfere. TOMBA FC's Godofredo Veremundo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save TOMBA FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Lavalle FC's zone, Genaro Aguirre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Halis Bengialp came out of the goal and Genaro Aguirre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabian Neto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Godofredo Veremundo having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in TOMBA FC's zone, German Lorenz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Godofredo Veremundo came out of the goal and German Lorenz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gaston Toribio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Gaston Toribio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Halis Bengialp was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Gaston Toribio managed to get in a good position for a shot. TOMBA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaston Toribio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Halis Bengialp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 95 minutes into the game, German Lorenz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lavalle FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TOMBA FC the free kick. Daniel Florian was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 96th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, TOMBA FC could leave the field as winners, despite Lavalle FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
