Spectators: 6675 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1675, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lisandro Chale started the match with the kick off. If Lisandro Chale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Americo Terciero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Chepe having to interfere. Americo Terciero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Emanuel Chepe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celestino Egoi was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 14th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Everardo Gaueko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19thth minute of the game Lisandro Chale who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético Córdoba's Gavino Pierres was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Americo Terciero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Chepe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everardo Gaueko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Americo Terciero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Córdoba's supporters rose to their feet, but Americo Terciero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Chepe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Americo Terciero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Club Atlético Córdoba booed when Mercedes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artemio Montez didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Everardo Gaueko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 37 minutes into the match, Americo Terciero notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mercedes's Emanuel Chepe. Emanuel Chepe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 41 minutes into the match, Mercedes's goal looked a bit too open when Everardo Gaueko came free, but Emanuel Chepe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Everardo Gaueko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emanuel Chepe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Everardo Gaueko's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. Everardo Gaueko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Everardo Gaueko made a kick off. In the 54th match minute, Mercedes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Criston to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Everardo Gaueko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atlético Córdoba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 67th match minute, Club Atlético Córdoba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Efraim to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute of the match Roque Casomiro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emanuel Chepe showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Everardo Gaueko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Americo Terciero's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 74thth minute, Emanuel Chepe skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jonas Criston kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Inautzi in the 93rd minute of play forced Club Atlético Córdoba's goalkeeper Gavino Pierres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 94 minutes, Fabio Inautzi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mercedes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabio Inautzi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gavino Pierres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Chale in the 96th minute of play. Club Atlético Córdoba's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
