Leonel Benino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodosio Maiorga, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute, Claudio Theobald hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th match minute, Santos de Lucas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Theobald to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Santos de Lucas's Amado Lauro got a free kick in the 12th minute. Iker Boniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florentino Indartsu in the 13th minute of the match. Licor FC's Florentino Indartsu got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Teodosio Maiorga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonel Benino. Licor FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teodosio Maiorga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Teodosio Maiorga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Leonel Benino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Teodosio Maiorga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leonel Benino came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Santos de Lucas's Teodosio Maiorga. But to his dismay, Teodosio Maiorga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After having played for 37 minutes, Florentino Indartsu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Licor FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florentino Indartsu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Santos de Lucas's goalkeeper Iker Boniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Luis Eladio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Licor FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Eladio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iker Boniel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amado Lauro to make the kick off. Florentino Indartsu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Iker Boniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 57 minutes of play Santos de Lucas's Claudio Theobald was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Claudio Theobald hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Florentino Indartsu might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iker Boniel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Florentino Indartsu ran back to his position shaking his head. 77 minutes into the match, Licor FC's goalkeeper Leonel Benino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teodosio Maiorga. After 85 played minutes Licor FC got a freekick which was hit by Dalmacio Piearres. Thanks to some nice moves Teodosio Maiorga could shoot a difficult shot in the 87th minute, which Leonel Benino however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Licor FC's zone, Amado Lauro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonel Benino came out of the goal and Amado Lauro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Luis Eladio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Santos de Lucas supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Santos de Lucas would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
