The supporters of Licor FC booed when Zanjitas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delmiro Lehen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 45 minutes of play, Licor FC's Luis Eladio made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Barrionuevo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Marco Patrido hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Zanjitas's David Barrionuevo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florentino Indartsu in the 57th minute of play. David Barrionuevo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florentino Indartsu, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Eladio got free with David Barrionuevo in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 69th minute, Camilo Enekoitz made a precise shot to the right of Leonel Benino. Licor FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Leonel Benino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enzo Gonzales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
