Camilo Enekoitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Chepe having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lisandro Chale was the one to do the kick off. Fabio Inautzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonas Criston got free with David Barrionuevo in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Camilo Enekoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Emanuel Chepe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fabio Inautzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Chepe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo Gonzales in the 75th minute of play. The supporters of Zanjitas booed when Mercedes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebio Olo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Camilo Enekoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabio Inautzi ran back to his position shaking his head. 89 minutes into the match, Zanjitas's goalkeeper David Barrionuevo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabio Inautzi. If Artemio Montez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Jonas Criston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mercedes players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Zanjitas.
