In the 4thth minute of the game Gogo Aires who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Simoca's Epifanio Maureo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 5 minutes of play, Luzuriaga's Gaspar Ebardo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Epifanio Maureo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 14 minutes, Gogo Aires made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Simoca's Epifanio Maureo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Luzuriaga's zone, Jimeno Licerio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavio Garci came out of the goal and Jimeno Licerio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Gogo Aires managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luzuriaga's supporters rose to their feet, but Gogo Aires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Epifanio Maureo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Ebardo in the 22nd minute of play forced Simoca's goalkeeper Epifanio Maureo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luzuriaga's Octavio Garci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Leoncio in the 23rd minute of play. The wind increased when Octavio Erroman made the kick off in the second half. 61 minutes into the match, Luzuriaga's goal looked a bit too open when Octavio Erroman came free, but Octavio Garci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Gogo Aires came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Luzuriaga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gogo Aires couldn't finish the play. Gaspar Ebardo came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Epifanio Maureo could save by the left post. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 84 minutes into the game, Luzuriaga's Gaspar Ebardo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Epifanio Maureo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Gaspar Ebardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. In the 90th minute Gogo Aires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Epifanio Maureo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st match minute, Luzuriaga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Oliveiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute, Gaspar Ebardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Luzuriaga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Luzuriaga eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
