Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 9 played minutes Sportivo Italiano got a freekick which was hit by Teobaldo Louis. Segundo Gau was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jonathan Sol. Eugenio Barbosa's late challenge caught a Sportivo Italiano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eugenio Barbosa helped the player get up and apologised. Gavino Matthew sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sportivo Italiano's Segundo Gau proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Sportivo Italiano from getting a goal against them. Segundo Gau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Berdaitz in the 25th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Berdaitz in the 28th minute of play forced Sportivo Italiano's goalkeeper Segundo Gau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute Aurelio Llorenc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Isidor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gavino Matthew came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Sportivo Italiano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gavino Matthew couldn't finish the play. In the 44th play minute Cayetano Urko came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Segundo Gau. 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ruperto Isidor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Llorenc in the 53rd minute of play. Segundo Gau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cayetano Urko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mauricio Lander kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Javier Berdaitz notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Sportivo Italiano's Segundo Gau. Segundo Gau was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In a very dangerous position, a player in Palpalá fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! Amadeo Turi shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Sportivo Italiano's Gavino Matthew got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Palpalá's Ruperto Isidor got control of the ball when Gavino Matthew tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Palpalá had won after a very even match.
