After 18 played minutes, Deportivo Millonario's Julian Jenaro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcelo Mede came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Deportivo Millonario reached it. In the 24th minute of the match Aldo Chan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Serafin Txindoki skillfully saved the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Ezequiel Henry had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Serafin Txindoki. Deportivo Millonario's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ezequiel Henry was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Marcelo Mede came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Millonario's Maximiliano Niva. But to his dismay, Maximiliano Niva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Domingo Serafo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gouin AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingo Serafo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serafin Txindoki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mauro Nuno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Domingo Serafo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafin Txindoki having to interfere. Serafin Txindoki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingo Serafo, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. When Elias Liberto fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Millonario's protests and gave Elias Liberto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th match minute, Deportivo Millonario was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Liberto to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ezequiel Henry was the one to do the kick off. Marcelo Mede stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Criston's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Domingo Serafo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serafin Txindoki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teodosio Berto during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Millonario's Teodosio Berto got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 63rd minute, Julian Criston ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelo Mede was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Marcelo Mede made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Niva in the 66th minute of play. After 69 minutes, Julian Hermon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gouin AFC and the Deportivo Millonario players grew even worse after the yellow card. With an all-out effort, Gouin AFC's Serafin Txindoki threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ezequiel Henry, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 82ndth minute of the game Maximiliano Niva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gouin AFC's Marcelo Mede was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Ezequiel Henry managed to get in a good position for a shot. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
