After 22 played minutes Redondo got a freekick which was hit by Lino Domeka. Redondo's Roque Ovando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Cebo in the 29th minute of play. Leonel Cebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roque Ovando made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hipolito Brais in the 32nd minute. Hipolito Brais could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Roque Ovando made a huge save. Victoriano Garaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gonzalo Maxin in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santos Oliverios saved FC Sonata from getting behind. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonel Cebo to make the kick off. Hipolito Brais's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roque Ovando read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Hipolito Brais might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roque Ovando. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hipolito Brais ran back to his position shaking his head. Hipolito Brais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roque Ovando having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, FC Sonata's Leonel Cebo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roque Ovando narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gonzalo Maxin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Hipolito Brais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roque Ovando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Cebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After 75 minutes of play, FC Sonata's Leonel Cebo made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roque Ovando was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvaro Oalo got free with Santos Oliverios in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Redondo defense, Hipolito Brais kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roque Ovando. The Redondo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roque Ovando should have stopped the shot. After having played for 87 minutes, Gonzalo Maxin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Redondo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonzalo Maxin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvaro Oalo got free with Santos Oliverios in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 90 minutes of play, FC Sonata's Leonel Cebo made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roque Ovando was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvaro Oalo got free with Santos Oliverios in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 96 minutes into the match, FC Sonata's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Maxin came free, but Santos Oliverios reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Sonata had won after a very even match.
