Candelaria AFC's Narciso Weterio got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Candelaria AFC's Arnaldo Urko got control of the ball when Cristian Calixto tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 12th minute Ruben Lixandro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Errapel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ruben Lixandro to make the kick off. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tiki taka FC's goalkeeper Adolfo Errapel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Artemio Prejun kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Candelaria AFC's Arnaldo Urko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Calixto in the 64th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 70th minute of the game. One of Candelaria AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tiki taka FC:s goal. The referee gave Tiki taka FC a penalty, 72 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Pastor Celipe, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Candelaria AFC's Arnaldo Urko. 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Tiki taka FC's zone, Narciso Weterio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Errapel came out of the goal and Narciso Weterio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adolfo Errapel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruben Lixandro in the 78th minute. In the 82nd minute Ruben Lixandro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Errapel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Tiki taka FC's Gabriel Estevon got a free kick in the 82nd minute. The Candelaria AFC fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Candelaria AFC's Ruben Lixandro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 90th minute of the match Ismael Bermund sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnaldo Urko skillfully saved the ball. Narciso Weterio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Narciso Weterio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adolfo Errapel having to make a save. If Narciso Weterio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
