Spectators: 6674 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1674, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nereo Pierres started the match with the kick off. Patricio Vasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Pierres, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Leon Kemen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Damaso Baristo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Nereo Pierres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nereo Pierres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Vasco having to interfere. Nicanor Santikurtz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Fenix booed when Club Sporting Punta Alta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paolo Txordon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nereo Pierres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Patricio Vasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Vicente Lorencio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Sporting Punta Alta's supporters rose to their feet, but Vicente Lorencio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damaso Baristo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nereo Pierres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Vasco having to interfere. If Nereo Pierres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Nicanor Santikurtz came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Fenix fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicanor Santikurtz couldn't finish the play. Nereo Pierres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Vasco having to interfere. After some careless play in the Club Sporting Punta Alta defense, Nicanor Santikurtz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patricio Vasco. The Club Sporting Punta Alta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patricio Vasco should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leon Kemen was the one to do the kick off. Vicente Lorencio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd minute Leon Kemen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damaso Baristo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patricio Vasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Pierres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicanor Santikurtz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Patricio Vasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fenix's Nicanor Santikurtz got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nereo Pierres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Vasco having to interfere. Club Sporting Punta Alta's Patricio Vasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Santikurtz in the 88th minute of play. If Nicanor Santikurtz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Sporting Punta Alta's Patricio Vasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nereo Pierres in the 97th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Fenix left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Club Sporting Punta Alta.
