After a defensive mix-up in Club Sporting Punta Alta's zone, Ricardo Vincente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patricio Vasco came out of the goal and Ricardo Vincente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Vicente Lorencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Mataderos FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Albino Anaya hit a great ball. In the 16th minute, Miguel Jaume hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute, Miguel Jaume left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mataderos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Patricio Vasco was a little too slow when Albino Anaya got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 2-0. Patricio Vasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Everardo Hurko in the 29th minute of play. When Miguel Jaume came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Mataderos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Jaume couldn't finish the play. Mataderos FC's Ricardo Vincente got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ricardo Vincente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Vasco having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Ricardo Vincente put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Patricio Vasco. 63 minutes into the match, Jeronimo Sandalio notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Club Sporting Punta Alta's Patricio Vasco. Patricio Vasco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Everardo Hurko came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Mataderos FC fans jumped to their feet. After 70 minutes, Bruno Estevon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Sporting Punta Alta and the Mataderos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paolo Txordon during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Paolo Txordon hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute, Albino Anaya got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Ricardo Vincente had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patricio Vasco. Club Sporting Punta Alta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricardo Vincente was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Club Sporting Punta Alta's Patricio Vasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Vincente in the 89th minute of play. Ricardo Vincente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
