The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nereo Pierres in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rogelio Ihazintu saved Club Atletico Red Blazers from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Nereo Pierres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fenix's supporters rose to their feet, but Nereo Pierres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogelio Ihazintu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 26 minutes, Sebastian Adrio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atletico Red Blazers and the Fenix players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Fenix booed when Club Atletico Red Blazers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Adrio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Atletico Red Blazers's Rogelio Ihazintu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nereo Pierres in the 27th minute of play. If Nereo Pierres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damaso Baristo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apolo Sendoa in the 32nd minute of the match. Rogelio Ihazintu was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. But to his dismay, Marco Luix quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nereo Pierres was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Nereo Pierres ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rogelio Ihazintu was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. A collision led to Fenix getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Nicanor Santikurtz hit a great ball. Rogelio Ihazintu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Pierres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A sloppy throw-in by Amancio Beltza in the 71st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Fenix's Paulo Shantala. In the 73rd minute, Nereo Pierres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 76th minute, Amancio Beltza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute, Nereo Pierres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Red Blazers's zone, Marco Luix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogelio Ihazintu came out of the goal and Marco Luix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nereo Pierres helped the player get up and apologised. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nereo Pierres in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rogelio Ihazintu saved Club Atletico Red Blazers from getting behind.
