Ermegildo Vidal received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eustaquio Clementi came out and tried to block the shot, but Ermegildo Vidal slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. Paolo Mitxaut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Felipe Aguilera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the game, Álzaga's Domingo Esiquio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Felipe Aguilera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Domingo Esiquio struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Felipe Aguilera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Álzaga. Felipe Aguilera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingo Esiquio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Domingo Esiquio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Felipe Aguilera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 40 played minutes Luxcar F.C got a freekick which was hit by Damian Canor. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ermegildo Vidal to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Álzaga's Isaac Avellaneda got a free kick in the 51st minute. A collision led to Álzaga getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Lino Chano hit a great ball. The supporters of Álzaga booed when Luxcar F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermegildo Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 61st minute of the match Damian Canor completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Damian Canor a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Domingo Esiquio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Felipe Aguilera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Domingo Esiquio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Felipe Aguilera was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Paolo Mitxaut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Aguilera having to interfere. Ermegildo Vidal's late challenge caught a Álzaga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ermegildo Vidal helped the player get up and apologised. After 75 played minutes Luxcar F.C got a freekick which was hit by Ermegildo Vidal. If Domingo Esiquio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paolo Mitxaut who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Felipe Aguilera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Luxcar F.C's Damaso Ofelio got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paolo Mitxaut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Felipe Aguilera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Álzaga were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
