Tupungato FC's Angelino Rutenio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Maidana in the 19th minute of play. Angelino Rutenio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rigoberto Bartuelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute, Silvio Ospetsu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Denis Maidana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Angelino Rutenio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rigoberto Bartuelo to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Mauro Goizeder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelino Rutenio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denis Maidana struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Angelino Rutenio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leoni AFC. Modesto Tanio charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Modesto Tanio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th minute, Lorenzo Mikolas sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Tupungato FC's Angelino Rutenio didn't even have to move. After having played for 71 minutes, Rigoberto Bartuelo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leoni AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rigoberto Bartuelo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Denis Maidana was extremely unlucky when he, in the 73rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Angelino Rutenio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Denis Maidana in the 77th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Leoni AFC's Denis Maidana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Angelino Rutenio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hipolito Asteri charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hipolito Asteri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Tupungato FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Hipolito Asteri hit a great ball. Rigoberto Bartuelo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rigoberto Bartuelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvio Ospetsu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Amaya having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Leoni AFC's zone, Silvio Ospetsu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gavino Amaya came out of the goal and Silvio Ospetsu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Leoni AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tupungato FC throughout the match.
