Edgardo Lizardi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilberto Mikeldi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. A collision led to Atletico Campana getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Godfredo Ikatz hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Campana's zone, Silvestre Fanuco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Cordarrel came out of the goal and Silvestre Fanuco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauro Gonza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Gilberto Mikeldi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fausto Txanton kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Silvestre Fanuco might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Cordarrel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvestre Fanuco ran back to his position shaking his head. Mauro Gonza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Mikeldi having to interfere. If Mauro Gonza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgardo Lizardi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Atletico Campana booed when La Ortiga Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias Lop didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg David Cordarrel managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when La Ortiga Futbol Club's Tomás Galtero fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Silvestre Fanuco came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the La Ortiga Futbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvestre Fanuco couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvestre Fanuco to make the kick off. Edgardo Lizardi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 55th match minute, Atletico Campana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Chano to maneuver through the defense. La Ortiga Futbol Club's Silvestre Fanuco got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Silvestre Fanuco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atletico Campana's David Cordarrel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Pirro in the 64th minute of play. Silvestre Fanuco struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. David Cordarrel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Ortiga Futbol Club. When La Ortiga Futbol Club's Silvestre Fanuco in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atletico Campana's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Mauro Gonza kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gilberto Mikeldi. That made the score 0-1 in the 79 minute of play. In the 88th minute, Silvestre Fanuco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Cordarrel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Gilberto Mikeldi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Gonza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Cordarrel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silvestre Fanuco's shot from short distance in the 96th minute.
