The supporters of Phoenix booed when Haedo Norte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Hori didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Phoenix's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Hori came free, but Aquilino Udalaitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Haedo Norte FC's Prospero Cefero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aquilino Udalaitz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Reynaldo Astudillo charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reynaldo Astudillo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st match minute, Haedo Norte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Astudillo to maneuver through the defense. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Orlando Osmundo to strike the kick off in the second half. When Rodolfo Herensuge fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Haedo Norte FC's protests and gave Rodolfo Herensuge a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Haedo Norte FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Rodolfo Herensuge hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, Phoenix's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Astudillo came free, but Aquilino Udalaitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th match minute, Phoenix was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bonifacio Nesor to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Haedo Norte FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Ricart, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alfredo Ricart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Osmundo in the 72nd minute of play. Alfredo Ricart came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Phoenix's Orlando Osmundo. But to his dismay, Orlando Osmundo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. In the 76th minute Fidel Perico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquilino Udalaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alejo Colas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Orlando Osmundo came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Phoenix fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orlando Osmundo couldn't finish the play. Gervasio Nahia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Ricart having to interfere. Orlando Osmundo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredo Ricart read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Phoenix's Arnaldo Montrelle got a free kick in the 96th minute.
