The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the BJ FC defense, Augusto Frichoso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aristides Prejun. The BJ FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aristides Prejun should have stopped the shot. Guillermo Cordero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Raphael, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jaime Medero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Cordero having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Medero in the 35th minute of play forced Buffeteros's goalkeeper Guillermo Cordero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blas Modestio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aristides Prejun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute, BJ FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Blas Modestio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Blas Modestio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Aristides Prejun made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Salvador Lon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Cecilio Firme fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Salvador Lon in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aristides Prejun saved BJ FC from getting behind. The supporters of Buffeteros booed when BJ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eulalio Cugat didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Blas Modestio notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of BJ FC's Aristides Prejun. Aristides Prejun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Salvador Lon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristides Prejun having to interfere. Guillermo Cordero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Raphael, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the BJ FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Buffeteros.
