Blas Modestio struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Francisco Mercurio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buffeteros. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Salvador Lon sped through Lírico de Buenos Aires's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Francisco Mercurio. If Orlando Bembe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guillermo Cordero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Bembe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Salvador Lon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Francisco Mercurio having to make a save. Prospero Kimetz kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Francisco Mercurio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Lon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Blas Modestio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orlando Bembe to make the kick off. Blas Modestio succeeded in the game's 51st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 5-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Braulio Kinsen during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nereo Benvido took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guillermo Cordero. Guillermo Cordero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Lon in the 68th minute of play forced Lírico de Buenos Aires's goalkeeper Francisco Mercurio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Mercurio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvador Lon in the 70th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Lírico de Buenos Aires's zone, Blas Modestio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Mercurio came out of the goal and Blas Modestio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 77 minutes into the match, Lírico de Buenos Aires's goal looked a bit too open when Salvador Lon came free, but Francisco Mercurio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orlando Ferrando's late challenge caught a Buffeteros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orlando Ferrando helped the player get up and apologised. Orlando Ferrando hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. The Buffeteros fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Buffeteros's Salvador Lon looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Francisco Guilabertus was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 94th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Salvador Lon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Lírico de Buenos Aires getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Prospero Kimetz hit a great ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Buffeteros had played much better football throughout.
