Mateo Gartzea charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mateo Gartzea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th minute, Mateo Gartzea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13thth minute of the game Cosme Ishmael who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but HiguainFC's Nicolas Felipillo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 14 played minutes HiguainFC got a freekick which was hit by Placido Tauro. Cosme Ishmael fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Felipillo having to interfere. Nicolas Felipillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosme Ishmael, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. HiguainFC's Jeronimo Erruki got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Jáuregui booed when HiguainFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaudencio Nerio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th match minute, Jáuregui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Aurken to maneuver through the defense. If Jeronimo Erruki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gervasio Giro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Felipillo having to interfere. Cosme Ishmael fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Felipillo having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When Rodrigo Aurken fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jáuregui's protests and gave Rodrigo Aurken a yellow card for diving instead. HiguainFC's Nicolas Felipillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save HiguainFC from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Jáuregui players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
