Eloy Pasqual was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cornelio Bemabe showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 20 minute of play. Ulises Jurgi took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eloy Pasqual. Cornelio Bemabe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Eloy Pasqual when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Cornelio Bemabe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eloy Pasqual was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Rodolfo Itzaina lost his temper 39 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The supporters of Canton United booed when Club Atletico Talleres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustacio Eleazar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cornelio Bemabe scored 6-1 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eloy Pasqual, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Constancio Vilanova took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Gabino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Club Atletico Talleres were the better team. Club Atletico Talleres's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
