Jorge Bieito hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute, Jorge Bieito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvio Amato in the 15th minute of play forced velez's goalkeeper Robustiano Benvido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silvio Amato got in the 17th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Robustiano Benvido handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Serafin Valente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Las Tortugas de Lujan getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Eleuterio Beti hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvio Amato in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robustiano Benvido prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Serafin Valente blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robustiano Benvido having to make a save. Robustiano Benvido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvio Amato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emilio Txomin hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute, Candido Madeo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Las Tortugas de Lujan's Amado Gutxi didn't even have to move. Silvio Amato recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Robustiano Benvido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvio Amato, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Robustiano Benvido didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Serafin Valente went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Higinio Jacob was the one to do the kick off. When Samuel Ciano came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the velez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuel Ciano couldn't finish the play. velez's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Silvio Amato scored to the left of an out of position Robustiano Benvido, making the score, 0-2. Serafin Valente could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Robustiano Benvido made a huge save. With a little luck, velez's Robustiano Benvido got control of the ball when Serafin Valente tried to sneak it across the goal line. Silvio Amato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robustiano Benvido having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Candido Madeo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Silvio Amato came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Las Tortugas de Lujan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvio Amato couldn't finish the play. Robustiano Benvido made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Serafin Valente sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Las Tortugas de Lujan's zone, Higinio Jacob stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amado Gutxi came out of the goal and Higinio Jacob tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silvio Amato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robustiano Benvido having to interfere. Las Tortugas de Lujan's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
