The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Trompul FC's Ariel Tello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teo Caton in the 5th minute of play. After some careless play in the Trompul FC defense, Teo Caton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ariel Tello. The Trompul FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ariel Tello should have stopped the shot. Ovidio Haritzeder might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eulalio Rocio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ovidio Haritzeder ran back to his position shaking his head. Braulio Clemencin kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Ovidio Haritzeder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isidoro Montrelle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eulalio Rocio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Trompul FC booed when Sarmiento was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacobo Oroitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clodoveo Guillelmo charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clodoveo Guillelmo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The wind increased when Teo Caton made the kick off in the second half. Cristo Tabby struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Ariel Tello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sarmiento.
