Batel AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fidel Sauveur charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fidel Sauveur the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Batel AFC's Fidel Sauveur got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 15th minute, Cesar Pirro made a precise shot to the right of Filomeno Mitxaut. Azopardo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 19th minute Americo Xabel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filomeno Mitxaut saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cesar Pirro took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Filomeno Mitxaut. Filomeno Mitxaut dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Batel AFC's Casimiro Checa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benigno Mouricio in the 27th minute of play. Teodoro Gaspard's late challenge caught a Azopardo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodoro Gaspard helped the player get up and apologised. In the 33rd minute, Teodoro Gaspard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute, Alfredo Beliran sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Batel AFC's Casimiro Checa didn't even have to move. After 36th play minutes Atilano Eneto shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Casimiro Checa and just under the crossbar into goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Americo Xabel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Filomeno Mitxaut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Americo Xabel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filomeno Mitxaut stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Americo Xabel's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. 86 minutes into the game, Romeo Chus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Azopardo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Batel AFC the free kick. Filomeno Mitxaut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Americo Xabel in the 88th minute of play. The Azopardo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
