Andres Orlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Alfonso having to interfere. Santiago Ospetsu hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 11thth minute of the game Hugó Baróti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lampi FC's Epifanio Chico was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Panos Mendrinos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Epifanio Chico made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Panos Mendrinos sent off a good shot on target. 15 minutes into the game, Panos Mendrinos lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Epifanio Chico. Panos Mendrinos succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 21st playminute. After a defensive mix-up in Lampi FC's zone, Enrique Perez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Epifanio Chico came out of the goal and Enrique Perez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lampi FC's Andres Orlan got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Epifanio Chico made an important save on a dangerous shot by Panos Mendrinos in the 34th minute. 36 minutes in the game, Hugó Baróti fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Epifanio Chico having to interfere. If Arnulfo Rios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugó Baróti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Epifanio Chico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Panos Mendrinos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Chico having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Epifanio Chico successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Panos Mendrinos came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Avellaneda FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Panos Mendrinos couldn't finish the play. Hugó Baróti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Epifanio Chico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gaspar Jerano to make the kick off. Epifanio Chico didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Panos Mendrinos went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugó Baróti in the 67th minute of play forced Lampi FC's goalkeeper Epifanio Chico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 68 minutes of play, Avellaneda FC's Panos Mendrinos made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Epifanio Chico was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lampi FC's Epifanio Chico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugó Baróti in the 77th minute of play. If Hugó Baróti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Epifanio Chico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugó Baróti in the 86th minute of play. After some careless play in the Lampi FC defense, Magne Valrot kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Epifanio Chico. The Lampi FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Epifanio Chico should have stopped the shot. Hugó Baróti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugó Baróti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Epifanio Chico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Avellaneda FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
