Fidel Acevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 34th minute of the match, Celso Ongile tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fidel Acevedo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Melchor Selatse charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Amadeo Ticho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Fidel Acevedo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 54th minute Lagunillas F.C. were awarded a corner. Hermengildo Rioja went to the cornerflag to take it. Lagunillas F.C.'s Hermengildo Rioja was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fidel Acevedo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Lagunillas F.C.'s Godfredo Ramos pulled a muscle in his back after 55 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Eleuterio Dunixi hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Amadeo Ticho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Sixto Edwardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Eleuterio Dunixi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletico Tridente's supporters rose to their feet, but Eleuterio Dunixi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amadeo Ticho in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fidel Acevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Amadeo Ticho came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Lagunillas F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amadeo Ticho couldn't finish the play. After having played for 76 minutes, Amadeo Ticho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lagunillas F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Amadeo Ticho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fidel Acevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeo Ticho in the 79th minute of the match. When Urbano Bittor came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Lagunillas F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urbano Bittor couldn't finish the play. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atletico Tridente's goalkeeper Fidel Acevedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Cirilo Raymond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fidel Acevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeo Ticho in the 92nd minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Cirilo Cordero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lagunillas F.C.'s Amadeo Ticho got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amadeo Ticho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
