Gerardo Venerando's late challenge caught a Rocky de Vélez's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gerardo Venerando helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th minute, Gerardo Venerando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rocky de Vélez's Zeledon Enmanuel couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 25th minute. The referee ignored Pantera Rosa Club's protests and gave Pedro Rico a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, Pantera Rosa Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Rico to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute, one of Pantera Rosa Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pantera Rosa Club. After some careless play in the Pantera Rosa Club defense, Zeledon Enmanuel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Urbano Sadurni. The Pantera Rosa Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Urbano Sadurni should have stopped the shot. Arsenio Urtsin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eleuterio Txerran went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 82 minutes into the match, Pedro Rico notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Rocky de Vélez's Arsenio Urtsin. Arsenio Urtsin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
