The audience was convinced that Mauro Joachim's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hilario Rodriguez was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. When Mauro Joachim came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Ordóñez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauro Joachim couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Lucila getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Arnoldo Arnalt hit a great ball. Efrain Etor charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Efrain Etor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th minute, Efrain Etor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauro Joachim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mauro Joachim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hilario Rodriguez having to make a save. In the 23rd minute, Apolo Tadzio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hilario Rodriguez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 27 minutes into the game, Marcelo Larra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lucila's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ordóñez the free kick. Marcelo Larra kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Lucila's Hilario Rodriguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Tadzio in the 34th minute of play. Anastasio Flores was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 36 minutes into the match. 1-1 came through a penalty shot after 38 played minutes, when Lucila:s Gerardo Goyo calmly waited for Ordóñez:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Rene Juvenal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Rene Juvenal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ordóñez's supporters rose to their feet, but Rene Juvenal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hilario Rodriguez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Apolo Tadzio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Hilario Rodriguez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Apolo Tadzio was the one to do the kick off. When Apolo Tadzio came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Ordóñez fans jumped to their feet. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pepito Nhật Minh got free with Hilario Rodriguez in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Apolo Tadzio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hilario Rodriguez having to make a save. Apolo Tadzio came free in the 74th minute and tried to tip the ball over Hilario Rodriguez, but to the joy of Lucila's supporters the ball went over. Hilario Rodriguez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apolo Tadzio in the 83rd minute of the match. Mauro Joachim hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Gerardo Goyo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lucila's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerardo Goyo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaspar Saturnin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Apolo Tadzio took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hilario Rodriguez. Hilario Rodriguez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The Lucila fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ordóñez were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
