When Mauro Joachim came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Ordóñez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauro Joachim couldn't finish the play. Apolo Tadzio scored 2-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cipriano Cordarin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 24 minutes into the match, Apolo Tadzio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cipriano Cordarin. Vieja Huinco FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Apolo Tadzio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Ordóñez's Gaspar Saturnin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Baumer in the 27th minute of play. Anastasio Flores kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After having played for 33 minutes, Mauro Joachim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ordóñez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Joachim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 35 in the game by Mauro Joachim from a close distance when the talented Cipriano Cordarin managed to make a qualified save. Vieja Huinco FC's players were relieved. Cipriano Cordarin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Joachim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mauro Joachim made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Pepito Nhật Minh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Geronimo Roldanillo came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Vieja Huinco FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geronimo Roldanillo couldn't finish the play. Eustaquio Baumer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gaspar Saturnin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. If Mauro Joachim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 66th minute, Mauro Joachim ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cipriano Cordarin was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Gaspar Saturnin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustaquio Baumer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Vieja Huinco FC's Francisco Igon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gaspar Saturnin. Gaspar Saturnin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Igon in the 81st minute of play forced Ordóñez's goalkeeper Gaspar Saturnin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mauro Joachim in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cipriano Cordarin saved Vieja Huinco FC from getting behind. Carlos Tristan charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Tristan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Apolo Tadzio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mauro Joachim during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 93rd match minute, Ordóñez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Joachim to maneuver through the defense. Ordóñez's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
