After 9 played minutes, Taladro's Oscar Maureo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Guaberto Ibon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Taladro reached it. Cristo Tebaldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Diagur in the 17th minute of play. It was a well-played corner which Ricardo Oihan managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Geronimo Jobo might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guaberto Ibon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Geronimo Jobo ran back to his position shaking his head. Guaberto Ibon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fausto Ospin in the 48th minute.

Guaberto Ibon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Unai in the 52nd minute of the match. Escalada AFC's Guaberto Ibon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Unai in the 53rd minute of play. The supporters of Escalada AFC booed when Taladro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Bemabe didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 68 minutes of play, Taladro's Guido Unai made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guaberto Ibon was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 79 minutes of play, Escalada AFC's Amancio Abancens made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristo Tebaldo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 82 minutes into the match, Escalada AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Geronimo Jobo came free, but Guaberto Ibon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Geronimo Jobo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Guaberto Ibon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Guido Unai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geronimo Jobo in the 91st minute of play forced Escalada AFC's goalkeeper Guaberto Ibon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clodoveo Navarro's late challenge caught a Taladro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Clodoveo Navarro helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in Escalada AFC's zone, Geronimo Jobo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guaberto Ibon came out of the goal and Geronimo Jobo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eliseo Diagur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Cristo Tebaldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Taladro had played much better football throughout.
