But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Astor Berbiz couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Pavón getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Eugenio Perrando hit a great ball. If Serafin Astudillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldo Senin struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Erasmo Lordi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Miramonte FC. Erasmo Lordi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Senin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Osvaldo Senin fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With a little luck, Pavón's Erasmo Lordi got control of the ball when Serafin Astudillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 28th minute, Zeledon Gamus had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcial Grabiel during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marcial Grabiel hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Serafin Astudillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pavón's Erasmo Lordi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Pavón from getting a goal against them. Serafin Astudillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo Lordi having to interfere. Conrado Castel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Serafin Astudillo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Erasmo Lordi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Astor Berbiz to strike the kick off in the second half. Bernabe Eztebe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Astor Berbiz in the 63rd minute of the match. Astor Berbiz was extremely unlucky when he, in the 66th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Eugenio Perrando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Serafin Astudillo hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Bernabe Eztebe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eugenio Perrando in the 74th minute. Astor Berbiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Astor Berbiz in the 84th minute of play forced Miramonte FC's goalkeeper Bernabe Eztebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serafin Astudillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Erasmo Lordi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvaldo Senin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erasmo Lordi having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Osvaldo Senin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erasmo Lordi was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Marcial Grabiel was shown his second yellow card after 92 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Marcial Grabiel hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Miramonte FC's Serafin Astudillo got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Pavón's Astor Berbiz got a free kick in the 96th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Miramonte FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
