Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Severino Gomez made the kick off which started today's match. Erasmo Lordi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Pero in the 4th minute of the match. After 5 minutes, Omar Estevon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pavón and the Ranquile FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ranquile FC booed when Pavón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Estevon didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilberto Pero in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erasmo Lordi saved Pavón from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilberto Pero in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erasmo Lordi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Ranquile FC's Celso Fero got a free kick in the 10th minute. When Ranquile FC's Gilberto Pero in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pavón's goalie prevented a goal. A hard shot 23 in the game by Rigoberto Phelipe from a close distance when the talented Omar Bertol managed to make a qualified save. Ranquile FC's players were relieved. Gilberto Pero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Omar Bertol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Astor Berbiz in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Gilberto Pero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erasmo Lordi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Rigoberto Phelipe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Omar Bertol made a huge save. In the 35th match minute, Pavón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Cordarrell to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute of the match Ernesto Ponce sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erasmo Lordi skillfully saved the ball. Astor Berbiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rigoberto Phelipe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omar Bertol having to interfere. If Gilberto Pero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Astor Berbiz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Omar Bertol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Astor Berbiz in the 51st minute of play. Ranquile FC's Omar Bertol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Phelipe in the 53rd minute of play. Severino Gomez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Ranquile FC's zone, Rigoberto Phelipe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Omar Bertol came out of the goal and Rigoberto Phelipe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Pavón's Eugenio Pero got a free kick in the 68th minute. When Pavón's Astor Berbiz in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ranquile FC's goalie prevented a goal. Erubiel Rameriz hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After 74 played minutes Pavón got a freekick which was hit by Eugenio Pero. Gilberto Pero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Omar Bertol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Astor Berbiz in the 84th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rigoberto Phelipe in the 86th minute of play forced Ranquile FC's goalkeeper Omar Bertol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th match minute, Pavón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcial Grabiel to maneuver through the defense. Rigoberto Phelipe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
