The crowd rose to their feet as Centro Galicia's Alfredo Emesto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lorenzo Velasco. That made the score 2-0 after 39 minutes of play. Lorenzo Velasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Unai, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Lorenzo Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Emesto in the 53rd minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lorenzo Velasco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesus Vitin in the 93rd minute of play forced Centro Galicia's goalkeeper Fermin Boniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnaldo Jordy took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fermin Boniel. Fermin Boniel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. There was no doubt that Centro Galicia were the better team. Centro Galicia's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
